Charles River’s product specialists continue our Explore & Learn webinar series with a closer look at how the Alpha Data Platform (ADP) helps consolidate and streamline data management for institutional investment managers and asset owners. ADP provides a transformational approach to harnessing the power of both internally generated and externally acquired data, helping firms  gain new insights into investment opportunities, bring new products to market faster and expedite regulatory and risk reporting.

Highlights include:

  • Leveraging Snowflake’s Data Cloud to expedite data capture and governance
  • Utilizing Enterprise Data Management for data validation and gold copy creation
  • Using the ADP portal and data catalog for self-service data analysis and visualization

The webinar is a 35 minute presentation and discussion followed by Q&A.

Jeff Shortis
Product Owner, State Street Alpha Platform

Jeff Shortis serves as Product Owner for State Street Alpha at Charles River Development, A State Street Company.  Prior to joining Charles River, Jeff was the CEO and co-founder of Data3Sixty, a leading data governance SaaS solution provider. Earlier in his career, Jeff served as Chief Data Officer for Pioneer Investments where he led the global data strategy and evangelized the importance of data governance.  Prior to Pioneer Investments, Jeff was product manager for an industry leading investment management data warehouse.  Jeff has also advised several financial services organizations in consulting capacities defining data strategies and standing up data governance teams.  Jeff is recognized as one of the thought leaders in the data management industry.

 

Rob Dupre
Product Owner, Data Warehouse

Rob Dupre is the Product Owner for the Data Warehouse, a component of the Charles River data platform, which unlocks the potential for a unified and timely view of data to our clients for real-time insights.  Rob is responsible for establishing product strategy and providing direction for feature capabilities to product engineering teams through client interaction and industry experience.  He has 21 years of combined experience in every aspect of the financial service life cycle from product development to professional services to data management and operation services.  Prior to joining Charles River, Rob served as the head of global technology and solutions for Eagle Managed Services, part of BNY Mellon – Eagle Investment Systems.  Rob holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA.

 

Angelo Tomaino
Product Manager, Enterprise Data Management

Angelo is responsible for managing and driving enhanced capabilities of the Security Master and Enterprise Data Management features within the Charles River IMS.  He has over 20 years of experience working in the financial software industry in various roles including analysis, implementation and product leadership.  Prior to joining Charles River, he was the product development lead at Eagle Investment Systems for their Data Management products.  Angelo holds a BS in Finance from Bentley University.

 

 

Pat Egan
Senior Product Manager, Data Platform

Pat Egan is a Senior Product Manager for the State Street Alpha Data Platform and is responsible for information delivery and strategy, with a key role in determining how our customers receive their data, from portal design and visualization to personalization and governance. He has over twenty years of experience in the financial services industry, with prior roles in data strategy, back office transformation, and data warehouse design. Before joining Charles River, he was a co-founder of a data governance start-up which was later acquired by Infogix. Pat holds a BSc in Computer Science from Galway/Mayo Institute of Technology and an MSc in Computer and Database Design from NUI Galway, Ireland.
