Supporting new investment products, keeping pace with expanded regulatory reporting requirements and providing the front office with timely cash and position data places increasing demands on the buy-side middle office. The industry drive toward shortened settlement times and collateralized derivatives transactions present additional challenges. Against this backdrop, firms need to consider whether to outsource their middle office or maintain these critical functions in-house.

Join Karl Kutschke and Chang Suh to hear how a unified front and middle office platform can help firms deal with these challenges while streamlining their investment processes and reducing operational risk and cost.

Topics Include

  • Regulatory and industry drivers impacting the middle office
  • Aligning front office requirements with middle office capabilities
  • Delivering real-time cash and position data with the Investment Book of Record
  • Moving toward T+0 with expedited post-trade and settlement
  • Middle office in-sourcing vs out-sourcing – advantages and disadvantages
